Sant Antoni, a neighborhood that breathes food
Sant Antoni is a gastronomic neighborhood. One of its most famous places is the mercat de Sant Antoni dating from the nineteenth century, where there are many stalls of fresh and quality products.
Among the products you can find a lot of fish, fruits, vegetables, legumes and meat... a little bit of everything. In the streets of the neighborhood there are many bars where you can have a vermouth at noon, and in the area of the university it is typical to see young people skating.
There are also many bookstores, even the market offers old books, postcards and stamps. It is the area of Barcelona with more theaters, so many people take advantage of the weekends to go to see plays.
How do I get to Doppietta by public transportation?
Doppietta is located 7 minutes walk from Sant Antoni metro station, connected to all the stops in the center of Barcelona. On the same line 2 is the Poble Sec stop, just a 3-minute walk away.
To go by bus is also very easy. The Manso-Comte Borrell bus stop is a 3-minute walk from the restaurant and connects with lines 55, H16 and 121.
You can also stop at Ronda de Sant Pau, with connection to several important lines such as the D20 or D50, less than 5 minutes walk from the restaurant. Even if you have left the restaurant late for dinner, there is a night bus on Avinguda Paral.lel, close to you!
Doppietta is located in a very central location
The raval district is located just 5 minutes walk away. There you can find the oldest streets of Barcelona, located near the historic center.
Also adjacent to Sant Antoni is the Eixample district, with the Joan Miró park full of palm trees located just 10 minutes from our restaurant. Here you can visit museums and artistic monuments.
It is also not far from Montjuïc, where most of the city's festivals and concerts are held, where you can enjoy great views and the port area, where the nightly light show draws a great landscape of the city.
It is worth mentioning that our neighborhood is within the Eixample district, where most of the city's tourist attractions are located, such as Gaudí's works (Casa Batlló and La Pedrera) and also the Sagrada Família.
